So far it works great but I just have one question. I love that it's on wheels for ease of moving but doesn't it have brakes on the wheels cause every time you go to open the door you pull the freezer across the floor. You have to hold the freezer in place then pull the door open.

Hello Whirlpool! I bought this freezer less than 22 months ago, believing in the value of your Whirlpool name. Huge disappointment when it stopped freezing my food, and it all became room temperature within a weeks time. I just threw out hundreds of dollars of food, and today had an appliance repair man take a look at it (cost $75). He reported the compressor had pretty much failed, and the cost to have it repaired or get a new one would not be worth the money, as compared to buying a new freezer. I asked him what appliance brand he recommended, and he stated that he only has Whirlpool for all the appliances in his personal home. I called Whirlpool, and they reported they were not able to help me in any way, as it only comes with a one year warranty. So, now I am out hundreds of dollars of food, cost of $75 to be told the freezer is a complete failure, and zero service from the manufacturer Whirlpool. Whirlpool, is this the very best that you can offer me? I believe in you, and know you do have quality products, I love my double oven and dishwasher. Please, I need some help here, as buying a new freezer is not an option for me!

This freezer was purchased to replace our 13 year old freezer. We purchase the same model that had a few upgrades from our last. The bottom basket in the new freezer has been raised! The 13 yr old freezer basket would freeze to the bottom of the unit..not good. This model needs a digital temp gauge inside, LED on light outside and reversible door.

I bought this freezer in February 2017 with the extended warranty. It's beautiful and comes with all kinds of storage and I loved it because I didn't have to dig to get to the food anymore. But the looks are deceiving! It started to rattle not too long after I bought it. I've had to call 6 different times to have it serviced and repaired. I've lost more in the cost of lost food than the freezer is worth and it's not even 3 years old yet! I'm so upset!

It is bigger then my last one by 4 cf. I like the inside of the door for its roomyness. I don't know what that narrow spot is for at the bottom of the door. Things I have tried slipped out. I have purchased Whirlpool many times over the years and feel they are much higher quality appliances. Purchased one Samsung and never will again. One problem after another. I want to know I can trust my appliance to work and Whirlpool has always come through.

Who would have thought you could LOVE a freezer?

This freezer is awesome. It is beautiful to look at, but the best thing is the way it is designed. There are door compartments that are adjustable and actually big enough to hold things. The shelves are all adjustable and the baskets are great for smaller items. It makes it easy to organize everything. With the interior light, I can actually find what I am looking for. It is so quiet I don"t even notice it running.

Stopped working in less than a month

Unfortunately this unit stopped working in less than a month. All of the food in the freezer was ruined due to the fact that we were out of town for a few days visiting family. We arrived home to smell all of the spoiled food and the freezer was warm. I purchased the extended warranty, but no food loss coverage due to the fact that the manufacturers warranty was still in place. Bad deal all around.

I bought this a couple weeks ago and I'm loving so far the freezer feature. I can fast freeze when adding newly grocery shopped meats to put in freezer.

Freezer coldest I've ever had. Good size but the bottom basket is an awkward shape. Woule prefer a flat shelf.
