we bought this refrigerator to replace a 12 year old 18cuft whirlpool that fit into a specific space,the layout is simular but not the same shelves don't adjust like the old one,the door shelves not as adjustable and it runs almost constant,its set on high to keep the temp where it should be and we are verry careful to keep the door shut

Noisy fridge, door crooked, handles don't line up

Bought 10/8/19, delivered11/7/19. Very loud and gurgles all the time. Can be heard over TV in room 25 feet away. Left side door gap between fridge and freezer is 3/8 inch. Right side gap is 1 1/8 inch. Handles out of line by 3/8 inch. Installer said nothing could be done because holes were predrilled.

I had a similar whirlpool refrigerator freezer for 20 years and loved it. Bought a similar new one and not as likeable of features for me. IE, NO light in freezer; no ice shelves or container in freezer(did not want icemaker). And mostly both freezer door and refrigerator door swing far too widely and quickly. Causes refrigerator door to bounce off my oven handle behind it.Could not get real help from whirlpool.

Had to replace after 21 months

I bought the identical refrigerator 21 months (yes! Months!) earlier and it got a freon leak within the sealed portion of the appliance. The service man told me I needed to replace the appliance and I did. For nearly $1000. Since then I have heard about the same thing happening to other Whirlpool refrigerators that were less than 2 years old. The freezer temperature in my new refrigerator fluctuates from 0 degrees F to 17 degrees F. The seals on the doors seem to let in air and moisture. I am not confident that this one will last. I called Whirlpool about my concerns and was told that if a serviceman comes out and doesn't find a problem, I will be charged for the visit. I find this unsettling.

I bought this size because that is what fits in our kitchen between cabinets. I wanted a whirlpool and my wife wanted the biscuit color to match our other appliances. I like the led light inside. The shelves and trays didn't adjust too much but good enough. I was able to switch to door hinges to the other side with no issues. The fit and finish is great. Very reasonably priced. I can't bring myself to spend more than a $1K on an appliance. This was $800 delivered to my house.

Well Designed Product with Great Storage Options

Our old refrigerator was 37 years old and I thought it would be hard to find something we liked as well, which fit in our space. This Whirlpool model was exactly what we wanted. Everything about this model is of high quality. The storage is very flexible and easy to customize to your needs. The glass shelves and bins are well made. The LED lighting is a great feature because the contents of the fridge are well visible. You can even see into the bins through the glass shelves. Freezer storage is good, and the glass shelf is positioned correctly. This unit is very quiet when running. About the only thing I don't like is that the bins are placed low, and I am tall and have to bend over a decent amount (but at least I am stretching). I also wish that the freezer door storage was a bit deeper. These two things are minor when compared to the overall quality and design of this unit. I would recommend it to anyone, and would buy it again.

We bought this about a month ago for a vacation home at the beach in Delaware as part of a small kitchen renovation. We have only been there twice (once was when it was delivered), but are pretty much pleased with the refrigerator. We especially like the LED interior light, but do wish it had a light in the freezer section (the refrigerator it replaced had one). Also, there is an inconsistent, irritating vibration that we have been unable to figure out. The appearance is very nice. We were concerned about fingerprints with the smooth front, but a trip with our grandchildren showed we needn't worry about that. Overall, very pleased.

The bottom edge of the bottom door is so close to the floor that it hits my foot when I close the door -- needs more kickspace for clearance. The rear of the fridge gets so much colder than the front items in the rear freeze (lettuce, bottled water, etc). My old Whirlpool did a better job of circulating the air for a more even "cold". Next ? "would I recommend?" ask me in 10 years!
