I didn't observe the problem until a few days after delivery on June 25 2019 when it not only reached operating temperature but I also stored some food inside the drawers. Both drawers can be either difficult to slide open and/or close due to in my opinion either a design or manufacturing problem. It appears that all of their 32 3/4 inch wide model use the same drawer design. I contacted Whirlpool customer service and what follows is what I wrote and their reply. "Besides a blemished front door that is being replaced in 6-8 weeks, and after using the appliance for a few days, I have now observed that both lower front bins are problematic to open and/or close, the degree of difficulty varying with the internal temperature. The colder the worse. Since it seems to me that I should not have to deal with these problems with a brand new appliance, I would like to have it removed and receive a full refund of my purchase price. Please advise."
