First thing we noticed is that it is severally underpowered compared to our Panasonic countertop. We dealt with that issue up until it decided to spark from underneath making a burn hole about the size of an pencil eraser in the metal vent. We contacted our sales representative and he referred us to deal with Whirlpool directly which as been a mistake up to this point. We unplugged the microwave in fear of it burning our 3 month old house down. The most concerning part about this is we have $8,000 worth of Whirlpool appliances in the house right now. If the are the same quality as this microwave, we have made a serious mistake.

Bought this February 2018. In November 2018- it stopped heating, sounded like it was working but wouldn't heat. Whirlpool sent out a technician and they replaced the part. It's now November 2019 and it has stopped working again. Called whirlpool because this is just ridiculous. For a family of 2 who don't use the microwave that often (we mainly use the toaster oven or microwave our food at work) there is no reason this microwave should stop working TWICE in two years. I get they sell extended warranties, but the fact that I've already had it worked on once blows my mind. Called whirlpool and they said they couldn't do anything for me because there's no "quality issues" well obviously there is. Will NEVER buy a whirlpool product again, I thought they were good quality, but I'll go back to my OLD $50 microwave from college (that is still running perfectly fine). VERY VERY disappointed.

Micro wave replacement

Purchased from Lowes on sale and the original was damaged small dent on corner of the door. Lowes exchanged for second unit, just issue of having to return for exchange.

Intuitive interface

The simplicity of the menu is easy to understand and use. The rotating glass is a little small should you have a large square plate – it must be placed very carefully so that the turntable can turn and cook evenly. While we have had it less than two weeks it is difficult to write more. One thing that annoys me about appliance purchases is how they are priced. In the past products were guaranteed without additional "warranties" which add another third to the cost. We have had appliances that have lasted more than a decade, no more. Lucky if we get 5 years. Appliances are more expensive to repair than replace.

worst appliance i ever bought. my wife and i are the only ones in the home, and the microwave is not used heavily. my wife put bowl of soup in to heat up for 2 minutes, she started smelling a bad odor and check the soup once timer stopped, not warm at all. my last microwave, a GE lasted 15 years and was still working when i replaced it wit this one. As they say, they don't make things like they use to!!!! read many reviews from people that have problems with this model. So, makes me frustrated off to pay good money for something that last just beyond the warranty. i bought it in June of 2018. So, now i am wondering about the other whirlpool products i bought. extremely disappointed. now i have to try and find something to match my other appliances, and spend another 300 plus dollars. Ok but out of box ui board only reason for 3 star

I bought this online from lowes cause my other one went shot. Right out of box ui board is bad cant read or do anything with display. Called whirlpool tech came last thurs. Said ui board bad i have to order one be in tuesday

We bought this a month ago and I'm so glad we went with this model. It's nice and big inside, turntable can be turned off, it beeps again to remind you to remove your food, it's very attractive looking, and easy to clean.
