Gas Leak Right Out Of The Box

The dryer was delivered On Oct 25, 2019. Just as the installer was about to leave, we detected an odd smell. The technician claimed that he did not smell anything and left. Went out for about 6 hours and when we came home there was a strong and distinct gas smell. Closed the gas valve for the dryer and ran all the fans in the house for 45 minutes to ventilate the area. Next morning, no smell. Soap tested the supply line with no leaks visible. A technician returned on Oct 28 and soap tested the supply line and the internal line up to the gas valve with no visible leaks. The same technician returned on Oct 31 to install a new supply line (not sure why this couldn't have been done on Oct 28). The leak has not been fixed. A new gas valve and burner assembly is supposedly on order with no install date established. We love having a brand new completely useless laundry pair.

We waited 8 months for the dryer and I'm glad we did! It heats up quickly and evenly dries bulky items. The drum is big enough to easily accommodate my king duvet with room to spare. The auto dry function leave my clothes on the damp side, but I just need to adjust it to more dry.

Doesn't work out of the box

Bought the washer and this matching dryer with the pedestals. Washer is fine. But the dryer would not start. It kept thinking the door was open. Even faking the sensor switch did nothing. The worst part is Whirlpool is making me wait 5 weeks for a replacement.
