IT'S WORSE THAN THE DRYER

bought in November and right out of the gate we have had nothing but trouble with the soap dispenser, it dispenses and then fills up with water, so you never know if you are going to get a little soap or all of it, it took 6 hours to wash towels tonight, that was fun, the repairman will be back when the new parts come in, inexcusable for something so expensive and brand new.......poor quality, wish we hadn't bought this either

Best Washer ever!

I'm a guy and normally have hated doing laundry. This appliance makes things precise and so cool. Last week I had to go out of town and realized a favorite gym shorts needed to be washed, and so I tried the Quickwash option. They came out super clean after 15 min, and the quick dry option on the matching dryer only took 10 min and they were dry! Crazy cool and fast.

Broke down twice within a year!

I purchased a Maytag because I believed in the reliability of the name. Twice since I purchased this machine last April, I discovered water pooling around my machine. When I called Maytag for service they offered to send someone out to take a look at it a second time but the person never showed up. After taking a day off of work to get this repaired, I called to see about getting another appointment the earliest they could offer was to wait another week. All while my machine just a year old has broken down twice with the same issue. I was told by the call center that I should be thankful they are sending someone out. I would expect more from Maytag...very disappointed in Maytag and their response to customers.

Poor response from Maytag to fix the problem

We bought this washing machine and matching dryer in April. I wanted to purchase a Maytag because I thought it was a quality brand. It's only November (not even a full 7 months later) and the circuit board went out. I completely understand that things can happen but the repairman from the store we purchased the washing machine from is not able to get a response on the time it will take to get a replacement part. A washing machine is NOT a luxury item a family can do without.

New Maytag Washer

Finding it difficult to learn the features of this machine. Soap dispenser never fully empties, fear of adding too much detergent each time. Just did a load on the "delicate" cycle; it stopped with 43 minutes left to cycle. Had to push start button to complete load. I don't know if each load uses the same amount of water - no markings for small, moderate or large loads. Instruction guide difficult to get questions answered. Machine is very large and takes up more room in my small laundry room than we what we thought.

Great Machine - BUT

Love the machine but huge drawback - you can't bypass the Optimal Dose Dispenser or get a Single Dose Dispenser so you can change your detergents. I don't always use the same detergent (i.e. I use Woolite for my delicates) and there's no way to bypass - so I have this wonderful dispenser that holds enough for 8 loads of laundry that I can't ever use more than 1 dose of detergent in at a time in - I would have added a bypass.

New Fangled Washer

We got this dryer when our previous Maytag burned up, but we had it for quite a few years. There was actually a burn mark on the top of the dryer, but it was contained. I actually like my old Maytag better than this one. The settings on this one are more complicated...too many choices. Of course, it does a great job drying the clothes, but you don't need10 different options to dry your clothes. Sometimes when I tried a different setting my clothes did not dry completely... less is more!

Poor Customer Service

When peeling off the protective wrap, the face plate of the dispenser drawer came off. We put it back in place, but it continues to fall off every time you use the drawer. Upon contacting customer service, they want to send a repair man out to fix. Of course the repair man only works Mon-Fri 8-5 which means I have to take time off work for a brand NEW machine. It's going to cost them more to send a repairman than to just mail me a new drawer!

Poor quality and no real support

We bought this new Maytag washer because ofthe good experience we had with the one it's replacing. The only thing I can say is that it washes clothes--eventually! It is slow and does not spin fast enough to get all the water out of the clothes, so the dryer can't get them dry in any of the programmed cycle times, so it takes hours to do one load of clothes. The WiFi doesn't work. We've called their "reach out to us" number and they know very little about the product they're selling. When we find someone who knows something about the WiFi they don't know anything about the other machine functions. This whole experience has been a nightmare from day one and I'm ready to return the unit and get my money back. I'l even go to court if I have to. I've had enough of the run around and incompetence.

My Washer does not work

Wifi connection is ridiculously hard.

But it took over 2 hours to install the wifi. 1st my husband, who is a rocket scientist, tried using the instructions provided with no success then on the phone with your service personnel, who was very good, for 55 minutes. It should not be that hard!!! Washing machine works well and now tell me when the cycle is complete.

Washer was installed 5/23/19 and has started making a loud noise during the spin cycle. The repairman from Alpine Appliance, where I purchased the appliance, says at least one of the magnets failed and water pump is not working properly. He is going to order new parts. I called Maytag who suggested I have one of their service people come out which is going to take 14 days. REALLY! Apparently the people from Alpine are not authorized repair service technicians. This is a BRAND NEW appliance. I'm also having difficulties with dryer. I think both of these machines are garbage. Don't ask me to contact you, I already have. Maybe you should reach out to me. BTW - haven't even tried to connect to wifi, don't want to add to my frustration.

After three weeks...

I cannot comment on the longevity or reliability of this machine, as it's new, but so far have been loving it. It's packed with special features that are actually useful, like a very large capacity, an overnight option that washes AND dries lighter items (it's great for tee shirts, not comforters), and a sanitizing cycle for those extra dirty items (this is a wonderful feature if you have kids or pets). The ability to pre-fill the machine with liquid detergent is so convenient. Overall, I love this workhorse. My only suggestions/issues are that I can't seem to get either the washer or the dryer paired with my wifi, and I wish I could pre-fill my fabric softener, too.

I bought mine a month ago and I love love my front load washer/dryer. My favorite thing about it, is it has a 24 hr fresh hold. If I wash and forget that I put a load in, it keeps it smelling fresh for 24hrs.

Love everything about my new washer and dryer

After a long wait to get them, because the new models (8630) weren't released yet, the phone call finally came saying my new washer and dryer was ready to be delivered. I actually ordered them the first week in January and got them delivered on April 13th. And I had no washer so I was going to the laundromat. My friends thought I was crazy to wait, they said just go buy something else. But they were worth the wait. I'm still learning how to do everything on them but the feature I really like is adding laundry soap up to the line and it releases it on each load as it adjusts for the size load. They are so quiet and so big. The only thing I would like to be able to hear the buzzer better. I can't hear it unless I'm in that room. I did turn it up but it still isn't very loud.

I recently purchased the washer and the matching dryer. The washer has great features and allows you to select any cycle that meets your needs for the type of materials you need to wash. Great machine.

Best washing machine I have ever owned, or used.

I bought this about a month ago now, and I have washed my comforter which is quite bulky, king size, and poofy, about 3 times now. It does an exceptional job with that, and all my other small loads are done just as well. I love the sanitize settings, and I like that it has WiFi so I am alerted to the progress of my cycles. It's a bit pricey, but well worth the investment. The 24 hour cycle is nice too.

Its like so quite looks and cleans beautiful! Its like the quietest washer I've had EVA! My Mom like went out the next day and totally bought it without me knowing I was OMG shocked and she love loves them fore sure.
