Digital timers

Bought our stove about 6 months ago but haven't cooked a whole lot as my kitchen is still under construction. When I've tried to use the digital buttons I've had to push the buttons repeatedly to get to the minutes or temperature I want. For instance to set the timer for 55 minutes I have to push the button 55 times. Holding it he button down May work for a few digits but you have to push really hard. Service Tech was just here and replaced the whole panel and said "that's the way it is". He says there's no fix. There is a lot about this stove that I do like but fighting with the screen is rediculous. Takes a lot of strength!!!!

I bought this a couple months ago. It's beautiful to look at and easy to use. I'm still learning. Ex. It has 2 timers 1 to stop cooking at minutes you want and 1 that reminds you every minute. It seams very solid, heavy duty compared to my last stove. So pretty I'm sometimes scared to use it and dirty it. I'm used to a drip pan and not sure how the stainless will clean over time.

Ignition issues

We've had this stove for about 6 weeks and while it looks amazing, the gas range has issues. The large burner always takes multiple attempts to light. The others can be finicky as well. We had a technician out last week and he said that these newer ranges all experience this issue. The gas leaves the burner at such a high velocity that it becomes harder to ignite. He was unable to remedy the situation. To me, it seems like something that should be easy to fix. It's very annoying after spending so much on a new appliance. It's like buying a new car and having trouble starting it every time you get in. It just shouldn't be like that.

customer service and quality is very poor

i had a similar maytag range in white-stainless and looked better than white,which was perfect and worked great at 12 yrs old.i bought new.the second time range top was cleaned i noticed the temp settings were getting dimmer.i use dawn dishsoap to clean--customer service said i was using to harsh a product to clean,also said there was a new bumper that took care of problem.i was also told that was cosmetic,not their problem.i eventually got a supervisor,who was all flowers and roses,i got his name.i found later as in 1 week no person of that name ever-so it seems 1- i was lied to on several points-2 never got an answer on what to clean grease off the control bumper-3 getting customer service to handle anything was a joke-i have changed the bumper twice-home depot where range was purchased covered one-for me i have made a list of any applaince partner of maytag-will not be doing business with any of the 10 or 12 companies-to bad,used to be a good company with good service-i have owned 5 maytag ranges over the years

I've had it now for a month. We love the smaller top oven - use it daily. It's perfect for broiling,cookie batches and pretty much everything. It heats up quickly and cooks evenly. The only reason it isn't a five star is the bottom oven goes all the way to the floor - so the handle has to have a towel on it so it doesn't hit. The installer said it couldn't go any higher. Also because the stovetop is black it shows ever crumb and grease spot. Overall I would definitely recommend it and just love having two ovens in such a compact space.

This stove so far has been a very good stove. There are a couple of changes we would make if we had it to do over. A white finish would probably be better as you can see any little splatter or finger mark. Also we would put the power burner in the back of the stove top instead of at the front as we use that one less than other burners. The quick heat feature in the top oven is great and heats very quickly. One strand of the slide out shelf in the top oven is warping.

Dangerous gas control design

I have an older model of this series and on mine it is possible to have gas flowing on the cooktop BEFORE the igniter comes on. Found this out when someone accidentally must have bumped the knob and we noticed a strong gas odor in the room. Hopefully they have re-engineered the gas controls.

Only had the range a short time so I'm still getting used to it. The double oven is a nice feature but it does make the convection oven very low to the ground. It will take a deep squat to get my Thanksgiving dinner out so I hope all goes well. I didn't take that into consideration in the store but I see it will be when I start to use it for larger meals

Worst mistake I ever made

Do not waste your money on this range. I have always had a gas range and the thing I have loved about a gas range is the fact that I can still use my range when the electricity goes out, but on no some dumb designer decided to make it where it want work without electricity, which I can't tell you how much I hate that 2) the stove top does not have enough room for two pots to cook on the front and back at the same time because the back panel sticks out to far 3) the top oven ( the thing I thought I would love) cooks to close and to the heat and most stuff burns on the bottom before it's done and the bottom oven is like standing on your head to get the dish in and out. I spent a lot of money and I am not financially well off, but would get rid of it tomorrow if I could

Design is flawed...

I really thought I was going to love this range. Until I started cooking full meals. It is CRAMPED. You can't fit anything else on the top if you have a dutch oven and a skillet. And the center oval burner is for what exactly? The black griddle plate is also confusing. Doesn't really work. The oven works great. Bakes evenly.

Great oven!

We bought this about a month ago when we were doing a complete kitchen remodel. We love the double ovens. Everything cooks evenly. It has a nice professional look to it and is easy to keep clean. My son fell in love with the griddle feature and uses it daily. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there are 2 things that make it not perfect. 1) you can easily accidentally turn on the gas to the burners just by bumping into it. Several times I've smelled gas and noticed a knob just slightly off center. I'm not sure how this can happen, but it really should be changed so that doesn't happen. 2) the back function panel is a bit annoying. The touch pad is difficult to use. You can't just press on a pad and keep your finger down to advance settings, you have to keep pushing the pad. I feel like the panel will probably break down fairly quickly. If Maytag can correct those 2 flaws in this stove it would definitely get 5 stars!!

I was hesitant on how much we would use the double oven. I quickly realized it was a great decision. We constantly cook things at different temps and can get dinner ready much faster than we sued to be able to with out single oven, plus if something small is needed we do not have to heat up the large portion wasting fuel.

I love the double ovens and design of the range top. The ovens heat quickly and the convection baking is great. The only drawbacks I have found are the timer design is without quick advancement options or the ability to directly key in the desired time and the "single bell chime" is so quiet I can't hear it if I'm not in the kitchen. Since the timer is an important feature to me, the overall rating lost a star.

I love my new stove. It's so well made, easy to clean and best of all it heats SO FAST! I can't believe how fast a pot of water gets to boiling and how fast the oven heats up. Definitely a time saver over my old glass top electric range.

Writing erasing on knobs & poor cust service

We've had this gas range for 5 mos and the writing on the knobs are coming off. I called the warranty department and the customer service rep blamed me saying it must bethe way I clean it.

Great for two ovens

First we did not realize that only the top oven has a broiler, I would of bought a different one if I had realized that flaw. My prime rib at Christmas is never going to fit in that small oven and it is a serious flaw. We have only been using a month and it is summer so not a lot. I have had trouble with the top oven cooking once. It never heated up until I turned it all off and started over, so watching that closely. The cook top is nice, I do wish it had two large burners, apparently whoever designs these does not cook for large groups with large pans. The 3 smaller burners kind of suck. IT is quiet, still not sure we really like it. Extremely annoyed none of us realized the broiler was only in the small oven. Very disappointed. So we will see.
