Unreliable junk

Purchased our 30" double wall oven in summer of 2014 while building our house, but didn't start using the ovens until May 2015. While self cleaning the bottom oven this week, the cooling fan went out soon followed by the electronic display. Haven't been using the ovens 4 years and it's already inoperable. 2 days later still waiting on Maytag repair service to schedule a repair. Made in Tennessee or not, Im done with Maytag.

Unsafe Maytag Oven for Children

I hate to write bad reviews so 1st let me say this is a beautiful oven from the front and works well as we were told to heat both ovens to 400 for 45 minutes. The fumes are not safe as they make you light headed so it's best to leave the home or open windows if it's not wintertime. BUT, there are no trim pieces on the sides which does look a little unfinished (like something was forgotten), but more importantly the black trim that is revealed is super hot and would burn any child that likes to touch things like our 2 year old granddaughter. Really it's unsafe for anyone that doesn't know not to touch that area. Our old oven had trim all the way around the edges to protect your fingers if you happened to touch that exterior area. Also the oven doors are not flush which makes you think the doors are not closed all the way. I've attached a photo. That's a flaw in design. I pointed it out to installer and there's no further adjustment on door to correct this, but he said the oven gasket doesn't let the heat out. That's just the way it's made. The fan also pours heat on the bottom oven so I imagine cooking in the summertime is going to be no fun! I would keep the oven w/the minor issues, but because of the safety issues we are going to have to exchange for another oven.

Quick preheat and even cooking

Purchased 2 moths ago. With convection it preheats quickly. Also food is browned and evenly cooked with convection. And the doors are well insulated - can touch outside even when on "cleaning" mode.

We remodeled our kitchen and bought new appliances. We had a gas oven but couldn't find a double oven wall unit in gas so we bought this one. So far I am very pleased but haven't gotten to use it but about 3 times. Hopefully kitchen is done by Thanksgiving and it will be on then!

Only bought this a month ago. Product looked the part, runs very quietly and being backed by Maytag is a huge plus. Only negative so far is the bake oven has only a top element so it takes a while to warm to cooking temperature.

Putting out way too mich heat

We just had this oven installed in a new home. There is so much heat coming from the vent under the bottom oven that i have to turn my air down and ceiling fans on to cook more than 10 minutes in the bottom oven. Also while the oven door stays completely cool for my grandbabies hands, the vent is piping hot as is the cabinet drawer, and contents, under it. Maytag has arranged for repair people twice but the response is that it seems to work as designed. Serious flaw. I will not be cooking many turkey dinners.

I think I'm going to love it in the long run. My reason for not giving a 5 star rating is based on the fact that it came with a faulty convection motor. It had to be replaced because it literally screamed when turned on. I received quick service to replace the motor. I look forward to putting the oven to work. I love to cook big meals and bake desserts!

Super Loud

Terrible design flaw with the cooling fan. Has a super loud whistle thru the ducting. They are unable to repair it and I cannot return it. Now I am stuck with a dud unit.

Oven looks great. Has great features. Very sleek in the kitchen. My wife loves everything but the cooling fan which squeals loudly. Maytag is going to replace the fan. Still waiting. Fan loud enough you can hear it three rooms away. Big rooms and keep in mind this is a built in unit

Would have rated a 5 but still dealing with an issue. Wife wanted new unit stainless double oven with convection. shopped around best price for features. Ordered online from home depo. Unit installed two weeks after delivery. Internal cooling fan squeals very loudly, hear 3 rooms away (not a small house either) home depo booted it off to warranty department. Was supposed to have been one week response. Two weeks latter still waiting on service call to figure out if warranty issue or just loud fan

this was part of a kitchen remodel, we a combo stove/oven but had a built in double oven added to our design my wife loves it. The only negative is, the fan/blower is kind of an annoying noise while eating dinner nearby.

The manual says that even when NOT using convection feature.....the fan will run to ensure more balanced heating. What it doesn't say is that it is LOUD and ANNOYING the entire time you're baking, with no option to silence the fan. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN OVEN WHICH ANNOYS ME SO MUCH WHILE IT IS IN USE..UNLESS I LEAVE THE ROOM!
