I love the new Maytag dryer

The installation and operators manuals were clear and concise and we had it up and running in minutes. We did the install ourselves. Nobody offers the 10 year warranty like Maytag. We searched the net for the best deal and we bought the Maytag.

"Underwhelming" Steam Option and Buzzer too quiet

We purchased this in April and it leaked when we used the steam option. Finally got the answer - it was leaking from the door, not the hose. Maytag service person came out and finally concluded that, when using the steam option to get wrinkles out of our clothes, we must throw in 3 or 4 items at a time. Who needs multiple items de-wrinkled at a time? Completely a waste of money to pay more for the steam option.

Love My New Dryer

This is my first Maytag. I am very happy with it. Compared to my previous Whirlpool dryer: Opening is smaller, shaped in a circle and makes it awkward to reach in to get clothes. My daughter tried to discourage me from getting a Maytag due to the small opening. However, I purchased a pedestal and it made a big difference. Much easier access with dryer opening (almost) at eye level. That helps those of us with back problems. Also, previous dryer had a light in the dryer. Never understood why my mom always complains that rooms/restaurants are dimly lit. Now that I am older, I understand. Yes, eyesight does get dim as we age. The addition of a light in the dryer would be fantastic for us with dimming eyesight. Wouldn't feel like reaching into a black hole. But these are personal preferences from the point of view of a senior. Overal, very pleased with the purchase.

Although there was a disagreement with the delivery company about the necessary parts included with the paid installation that ended up being resolved over the phone and having the unit fully installed with the water connection for the steam feature. The dryer with Power Button and Steam function is a great buy. It is quiet, smooth as silk and delivers in every aspect of functionality and it is loaded. It is hard to find a product that with all the hope of modern merchandising actually delivers. Simply better than expected.

I bought this couple months ago and if I could get it back I would do it. A constant problem with turning on. Sometimes you need to turn it on and off several times to make it work! It can be seen that they invested at a minimum of contribution and selling price same as for good quality appliance. The switch button spruces up, the door constantly opens by it self, even during drying! I do not recommend it. Look for something with better quality!

Not even 6 months old and makes MAJOR Noise!

This dryer is 5 months old. About a month ago it started knocking. Called Maytag, they sent out repair and they replaced parts. Still knocking. Long story short after two visits, maytag decided if its still drying our cloths, we could deal with the excessive noise. SO UNHAPPY! Guess customer service is no longer the same. I still haven't figured out why my clothes aren't completely dry when I put it on the regular dry cycle. (For an hour and seven minutes originally said the tone would be and then shut off after 27 minutes). What I do love is the quick steam touch up for clothes that I forgot to take out right away and got wrinkled. I do not like that the tone to tell me the machine is done is so low and inaudible.

I purchase the dryer and the pedestal. And I really like having the pedestal with the dry. Lots of storage and your not bending over to put stuff in the dryer. I like all the features that the dryer has to offer. The only thing I'm disappointed in is that the door is plastic and the black cover on the front is plastic and scratches very easily. For the price you pay for them it should be glass or metal.

I have had this dryer for about a month now and So far it works well. I did read as many reviews as I could find and have found the yes that when the dryer is done you can not hear the ding letting you know it is done. I have also found that it does take longer than the preset time to dry the clothes, usually I have to have it go a 2nd round and then the clothes will be dry. Other than that it is a Maytag so I feel like the quality and longevity of this dryer is going exceed the couple of cons this dryer has.

I live my new dryer. I live the steam feature. If I leave my clothes in the dryer, I can turn them back on and use the steam feature and it helps get wrinkles out. U have been pleased with its performance.

Love the dryer!!!!!

I love everything about this dryer. I like that there is a knob for part of the feature settings and not totally touch screen. I tried a dryer with all touch screen in the store and hated it as it took multiple tries each time to set. I am very happy with all of the features. I bought this for the size and it handles my king size down and alternative down comforters perfectly. The only odd thing is that there is no light inside. This is the first dryer I have had without a light but not a deal breaker. Just very strange. It would have been nice. All other Maytag dryers seem to have a light. The dryer is very quiet which is a plus. This machine feels very solid and high quality compared to other brands. I have always had Maytag appliances for their durability and longevity. Also this machine is very quiet which is a plus. Totally love this machine and will always stay with Maytag as long as they keep the high quality. Very satisfied with my purchase. So happy I stayed with Maytag. LOVE this washing machine and LOVE Maytag!!!!!

I just bought this a couple of weeks ago. I love this dryer. It seems to dry my close faster even though the time seem to say it takes double the time of my old dryer. I love the steam feature I just throw in my winkle shirt and it relaxes the wrinkles and they come out wrinkle free. If this dryer last as long as my old one I will be one happy camper.

I bought this about a month ago and just love this dryer. I have not had any problems at all with it. I bought it as a set so I have the washer as well. It seems that our laundry gets done a lot faster. My previous set was about 20 years old and was also Maytag. It still worked really good when I bought the new set. I have confidence that this new set will last as long if not longer. I love the steam refresh feature.

Really impressed with how fast clothing dries, the features, and size. Quiet. Nice lint screen. Very easy to learn to operate. The Maytag dryer this unit replaced was purchased in the 1980s and was still running with only one repair during its service life. Impressed with the steam feature.
