This was to replace a competitors range that had failed. I was looking for a basic operation stove after having the digital control fail numerous times I wanted to return to simplicity. I love my Amana!

This stove was a good price, but wish I would have spent more and maybe I would have a stove that works properly. The big burners don't get hot enough. I like to can vegies, and it didn't get hot enough to get the water boiling in the canner. I think it's defective. Will try to get it replaced. Also doesn't have a timer.

does not distribute heat evenly

purchased 4 of these units for an apartment building. Have had nothing but problems. cannot even cook a pizza. after half an hour at 400 degrees it is still cold and will not brown unless you put it on broil, after the fact. tech does not know how to repair. told we would have to learn how to cook after 50 plus years!

Before I was here,at my job they used to buy the Kenmore Electric range,with timer self cleaning clock and glass door to see food,It was expensive and not cost effective.For a rental that most didn"t care for .what they had,or knew how to use the self cleaning program,I did away with that,its simple on and off no frills serve us well,and with little maintenance
