Pull out freezer drawer moves from side to side if not opened exactly in the center of handle . Seems flimsy inside compared to my prior Ge profile refrigerator. Is noisy when cooling if the door has been opened for a few minutes

We got suckered into an LG. It started falling apart after a few months and it seemed crowded. The shelves broke. This Amana is great, my wife keeps telling me how much she likes it and a great feature is that it has an incandescent light instead of led so the food looks good.too.

Nice but main control board failed in just 3 years

Purchase my refrigerator July of 2015 because I wanted to have a refrigerator made in the USA however its electronic components are made all over the place my main control unit manufactured in Mexico failed after 3 years cost me in excess of $300 to repair and the lost of my refrigerated contents. Repair person indicated whirlpool n knows about the board's deficiency and yet wishes to make more money on this flaw. And not only that they insist upon the return of the original motherboard and charges a core charge if not returned. also found out that once this board is installed it has to be programmed and the service people are the only people who know how to program it.

Amana refrigerator, 22 cu.ft., bottom freezer

I only have the Amana refrigerator for a few weeks and thus far it is very quiet and temperatures are perfect for freezer and refrigerator. However, I am very disappointed that the interior, same size as my 25 year old Amana was, didn't even come with a loose ice tray, egg tray, butter dish, no place for cheese etc. It is totally naked inside, plus the vegetable compartments are not as long as the 25 year old ones, and the freezer is much smaller. Would never have bought this model if I had seen it at a store. Was forced to buy via Internet, despite having shopped at at lest 5 or 6 stores. One of my criteria for purchase was I had to be able to use magnets on the door for my photo gallery and this model accepts magnets.

We got this refrigerator a few weeks ago; we've never had stainless steel before and love it, it is clean, elegant. Doesn't show fingerprints, the sides are textured so they don't scratch. The inside is well lit, spacious, easy organization, perfect for us. The freezer is better organized than our previous refrigerator, all is more neat and easy to use.

Great Refigerator

This refrigerator has worked well so far. The position of the shelves and door containers are adjustable which is useful. I'm not a a huge fan of the draw freezer because it doesn't seem to hold as much food as the hinged door freezer. If food is stored too close to the blower on the top shelf of the refrigerator, it tends to freeze.

My husband and I bought this fridge at a great price and especially liked the bottom freezer option. We have been very pleased with it. Our only complaint is that the stainless steel rusted in a few places within a year of having it. Be sure to research how to clean smudges and fingerprints upon purchase. I think I may have used the wrong cleaning supply on it.

Did my best to replace my Amana BX21V which lasted 15 years. I've had this one for about six months. You know how it is when a refrigerator's door is always trying to close itself (as expected). Well, this one does the opposite - it wants to swing wide open. Even the Amana repair guy they sent did some adjustments on the door hinges but to no avail. When in operation (cooling), half the time there is a high pitched electronic tone coming from the rear of the frig. It varies in volume and, at times, it's down right nerve racking. The repair guy didn't seem to think it was an "issue", but he did not hear it at its loudest. The coldness settings are between '1' and '7' for both the refrigerator and the freezer. The frig seems to stay in a nice range (35 - 40 degrees) with the setting at '4', but I need to set the freezer at '7' in order to maintain its temperature at or near zero. These temperatures are FDA standards.

I like my wide refrigerator. The glass shelves are easy to clean. The fruit and vegetable drawers are easy to operate, and I especially like the humidity controls. I wish that the freezer would hold more product. I tried to move the plastic barrier but was not able to and also there is no place to put the ice cube trays except behind that barrier. A few days after I bought it, the ice cream container wedged in the door and was open enough to have everyting frosty the next day and the light did not work. Had to remove everything and it was not easy to clean the moisture from it. Used the "grab it" with a towel attached.

This is my first ever "brand new" refrigerator! I had to wait 45 years to get the refrigerator I always wanted, and I totally love this one! I had my heart set on a bottom freezer model. It's runs QUIET, and is very bright inside, both the top and in the bottom freezer. I've had it about a month now and I still can't get over how beautiful it is!

Well-designed and organized. The bottom pull-out freezer door is great. My previous Amana had the swing door, which I liked, but this is so much better. I like the way the bins are set up and I can find what I need quickly. Great refrigerator!

This fridge is sightly roomier than our old Amana, but what we really love is the pull out bottom freezer, as well as the copious door shelves. The freezer is not only bigger, but you don't have stuff falling out. I wish that we had gotten it earlier.

Problems at First, Fine Now

The first refrigerator didn't get cold at all when we received it. It was hot weather and we lost a lot of food before they could deliver another one 3 days later. The replacement runs great and the shelving is convenient and we are happy with it. The only problem with the freezer is that the dividers are not moveable. That would have helped a lot. Overall happy.

How many engineers and designers did it take to create a freezer (no factory installed ice maker machine) without a way to make and store ice cubes with no mess????? QUOTE from letter sent to manufactureer "For personal reasons, we opted to purchase a refrigerator without an ice maker (machine). Imagine our surprise and great disappointment that the model we ordered came with no means of making and storing ice cubes without a potential mess! No ice cube trays; no shelf to hold ice cube trays level and secure to prevent spillage while freezing; no container to empty the trays into! All these were part of our former refrigerator. In reviewing the Refrigerator Assembly Instructions for the new refrigerator, I noted , a shelf and ice cube trays pictured. Because of our previous experience with an Amana refrigerator/bottom freezer, we had great expectations that this refrigerator would provide for our needs as the previous one had done so well. Those expectations have been dashed. I do not look forward to the frequent messes and inconvenience that will occur as a result of having no dedicated, secure location for freezing ice cube trays. " For personal reasons, we opted to purchase a refrigerator without an ice maker (machine). I just bought this house about a year ago and I knew some of the appliances were old. I was sad that they no longer come in the almond or bisque color. But, I noticed that my dishwasher was white so that helped me decide which color to go with . I was very happy that Amana had the size I needed as well, as the same style I had before. Just replaced my 20+ yr old Amana of this same model. Not real impressed with the new one. Smaller drawer of thinner plastic, temp/air control on veggie bins is a joke when the drawers don't shut tight, meat drawer is just a drawer now. Lots of wasted space in the new model, all drawers seem to be about 25% smaller and don't go as far back to the wall or bottom of the fridge. Door shelves are ok even if they are of lesser quality plastic than they use to be. Freezer-- this is a sad design in my opinion. I would have had to buy a smaller fridge to get the freezer with the swing door. Why not give the customer the choice in which style they would want on the freezer? Drawer vs swing door. I loved the old style with the swing door. It had 2 rows of shelves in the door, a stationary shelf with a full (wall to wall to wall), pull out basket on the bottom. New design has so much wasted space in the freezer. When my new fridge arrived, the item in my old freezer would not all fit into the new one. I bought an Amana fridge and stove at the same time, and the stove (2nd one) has already had a service call. I have my doubts these units will last like my old ones did. As I stated in the stove review, "I miss the good ole days when a name brand stood for something you could count on." I truly wish I had spent half the money and repaired my old appliances. I could have passed off the Almond color as Bisque. MY 1ST REVIEW DATED 3/25/17 NEVER SHOWED UP HERE... WONDER IF THIS ONE WILL??

The whole family loves the size the color, the ease in getting into, and the shelves are well spaced. We love the freezer that is used less is in the bottom. The ice maker is a great bonus when entertaining. The glass shelves make it easy to see into the interior and find the bottle that we want. In addition, we use the crispers for fruit and vegetables. Furthermore, the door has good spacing for condiments, milk, and eggs. Thank you.

We've had our new refrigerator for 3 weeks and we love it. It's the first bottom freezer we've had and it is so much easier to see and access the fresh foods. There is a lot of space and it is quieter than my last refrigerator.

I have just purchased my fourth Amana refrigerator! They are great... I've only had to replace one and I got the others due to moves. They hold food well, I can see all of the condiments and few get shuffled off to the back of the refrigerator to mold! The compressor is quiet. I love the bottom freezer... now I can get a drawer and not drop things on the floor - great design feature! Amana bottom freezer refrigerators are the best!!!

It's kind of funny, but sad too, because although I like it, I'm very disappointed. I bought this fridge to replace our beloved 25+ year Amana (which was 20 cu ft). I chose Amana again because I was pleased with our previous fridge's quality, space, and features. But I'm disappointed by quite a few things in this new one. This one is supposed to be larger inside (22 vs 20 cu ft), but there is less usable shelf space because it isn't as adjustable, and has less or smaller inside components. Our deli drawer is half the depth, the crisper drawers and shelves are shorter by a couple inches. There are less door bins/shelves, and more "air space" total because of its wide bottom shelf. There isn't a vent to keep the deli drawer cooler, and the crisper "humidity control" is a joke since there is no seal around the top of the drawers like the older model. Also the crisper and deli drawers are very lightweight cheap plastic, plus the drawer stops barely keep them from falling onto the floor. I sure hope they don't fall out and break. The door bins have rounded corners, so they hold less, and they're a solid rather than clear plastic, so it's more difficult to see what's inside. There aren't as many door bins or shelves, and although I purchased one more immediately (because it would only fit ONE more), it cost over $30 PLUS no choice but the exorbitant FedEx overnight shipping cost. I wanted to, but didn't, purchase another shelf with deli drawer because you must purchase each piece separately, including the drawer glides. And the shipping just for the clear drawer part is over $50. JUST THE SHIPPING. This freezer has two shortish sliding baskets, so there's less room than the old model's lower basket and upper fixed shelf which could actually hold ice cube trays. So why am I giving this model 4 stars? Because I still think Amana has good quality for the price. This stainless steel is gorgeous. And it fits in the same space in my kitchen. Plus a good price overall.

Can't believe I waited for long to get a frig that meets my needs. I can find everything so quickly with the eye level shelves and see through drawers. And the freezer is also very user friendly and easy to use.
